Attached is a flier with information about the upcoming Breakaway Weekend. We are very fortunate to have Curt Amlong come and lead worship with our youth as well as the youth from his church. Curt will also be bringing a full size band with him. This weekend 6th grade will be included in the youth.

This year's Theme - Identity in Crisis

If you are like most people, there are things about you that you would love to change. Whether physical features or patterns of behavior, most of us long to be different in many areas of our lives.

Yet, we are born with a very unique genetic code, DNA deposited in every cell by our parents, that significantly shapes our physical makeup and sets the course for our lives. Though many of the traits passed on to us are worth celebrating, others we would rather live without. What's worse, our physical birth has linked us into the human chain of sin, ensuring a nature that leads us away from the path we often want to follow.

So how is change possible? Is it possible at all? Or are we destined to be what we are all the days of our lives?

The good news of the Gospel, is not behavior modification, but new genes... a God-birthed creation within that comes as a result of faith in Christ. Discover the new you that has been created in Christ. And start living the life God always dreamed you would live.
