Durden has been a member of FBC Gillette since 2004 and was ordained as a Deacon on June 6, 2007.  He has a degree in Theology from Mercer University in GA and has also studied at Bob Jones University in SC.  He has been licensed as a minister since 1997.  Tim is married to Amy since 1996 and has two children - Savannah and Timmy.  He grew up in Macon Georgia and is an avid Georgia Tech and Atlanta Falcons fan.

Durden replaces the Rev. W.A "Bud" Gillett who served as voluntary Pastor since 2004 and was Manatee County's Distinguished Citizen in 2007.
